About Tenille

Tenille Neff  is a Missouri State/ Arkansas State Licensed Professional Counselor, and a New York State licensed, registered, board certified Creative Arts Therapist, Psychoanalyst who works as a primary individual psychotherapist in private practice in Branson, MO. Ms. Neff is also a working artist who has participated in national and international art exhibits. 
 
Ms. Neff graduated from Fort Hays State University in western Kansas where she received her BFA in ceramic sculpture and a minor in psychology. Inspired by the profound connection between art and the psyche, she moved to New York City to pursue a graduate degree in Art Therapy from the College of New Rochelle.  After earning a master's degree in Art Therapy in 2003, she began training as a psychoanalyst at the National Psychological Association for Psychoanalysis in Manhattan, receiving her license in 2013.
 
In 2013, Ms. Neff moved to Branson Missouri from New York City and started a local private practice.

Ms. Neff specializes in trauma treatment, depression, anxiety, anger management, substance abuse, and LGBTQ issues.

  • Art Therapy group facilitator at Synergy Recovery Center
  • Art Therapist at FEGS Mental Health clinic and continuing Day treatment program
  • Psychotherapist/ Psychoanalyst at TRCC (The Theodore Riek Clinical Center)
  • Private practice psychotherapist in Manhattan and the Bronx. 
  • Therapeutic Recreation Director for a 165-bed homeless shelter for women, where she developed therapeutic curriculum, conducted individual therapy sessions, provided group therapy and supervised staff. 
  • She has worked as an adjunct instructor for the Graduate Art Therapy Department at The College of New Rochelle teaching Art Therapy Internship I & II.
  • She is a member of the American Art Therapy Association, the Missouri Art Therapy Association, and APA division 39.
  • She has presented workshops on phototherapy for Branson Arts Council, NYAPRS and FEGS graduate student internship.
  • She was also an editorial staff for The Psychoanalytic Review and Free Associations Newsletter.
